Rock N Roll Culottes

You guys have already seen these amazing ORANGE CULOTTES on this blog and over on my INSTAGRAM where they were very well received, so I wanted to show you another way to style them. I always thought that culottes required minimal and/or sportwear styling but today I am breaking all the rules and wearing them rock n roll style.

I have an on-off relationship with band/slogan/novelty tees, sometimes thinking they are too 2005, but right now I am loving them. This particular one is very dear to me as it celebrates The Libertines reunion at Reading Festival 2010 where I saw this special band for the first and only time. I think the red logo on the t-shirt goes perfectly with the orange of the culottes and the whole thing looks pretty damn good next to this VW campervan of dreams. Of course no rock n roll look would be complete without Converse and a leather jacket and I've  finished off the look with this perfect fedora, which I really must wear more.

Vous avez déjà vu cette belle JUPE-CULOTTE ORANGE sur ce blog et sur mon INSTAGRAM - où vous l'avez trop aimé - donc, je voulais vous montrer une autre façon de la porter. Normalement, je pense qu'il faut porter la jupe-culotte dans un style minimaliste et/ou sportswear mais aujourd'hui je casse tous les règles en la mettant en style rock n roll.

Concernant des t-shirts rock/slogan/fantaisie, je les aime et je ne les aime pas - des fois ils me rappelent trop de l'année 2005 mais maintenant je les kiffe. En particulier, j'aime bien ce t-shirt de The Libertines parce qu'il célèbre sa réunion en 2010 à Reading Festival où j'ai regardé ce groupe génial pour la première et seule fois. Pour moi, le logo rouge va super bien avec la couleur orange de la jupe-culotte et l'ensemble est parfait à côté de ce camping-car de mes rêves. On ne peut pas avoir un look rock n roll sans des Converses ou un perfecto et j'ai fini la tenue avec ce chapeau feutre que je ne mets pas assez.

Casual Stripes

So my mumma took these photos - how good are they?! And she did not even need much guidance; I should come home more often! I'm loving being back on British soil and on Sunday I popped to London for a girly museum day with my mum and sister. In the morning we went to the Audrey Hepburn exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, which was awesome, albeit too short because - without sounding like a weirdo - I could look at that woman all day. She is so beautiful. Anyhoo…when we were on our way to lunch at Bumpkin in South Kensington, I spotted this cute mews off Old Brompton Road to take some photos in.

As it was a Sunday wandering around London, I went for a pretty casual outfit. My trusty ASOS ripped jeans, Converse and ASOS leather jacket look great paired with this striped polo shirt - giving what is usually quite a preppy top, that bit of edge that I like. Plus, the orange stripes and collar totally match my favourite MAC lipstick, which is always pleasing. 

After lunch at Bumpkin (and then cakes at The Hummingbird Bakery, naughty) we headed to the Shoes: Pleasure and Pain exhibition at the V&A. It is awesome and a must-do for anyone remotely interested in fashion, let alone the majority of you lot reading this blog so get yourselves down there!

Alors, ma maman a pris ces photos - elles sont belles non?! Et je n'avais même pas donné beaucoup de conseils; il faut que je rentre en Angleterre plus! J'aime trop être en Angleterre et dimanche, je suis allée à Londres avec ma maman et ma soeur pour une journée d'expositions entre filles. Le matin, on est allée à National Portrait Gallery pour regarder l'exposition des portraits d'Audrey Hepburn. C'était super mais il n'y a pas assez de photos parce que - sans vouloir sembler bizarre - je pourrais regarder cette femme toute la journée. Elle est trop trop belle. Bon…en marchant vers Bumpkin pour déjeuner, j'ai vu cette petite rue trop mignon pour prendre des photos. 

C'était un dimanche à Londres du coup j'avais mis un outfit assez simple. Mon jean troué d'ASOS préféré, mes Converse et mon perfecto avec ce polo rayé super. Un haut comme ceci donne souvent un look assez bon chic bon genre mais je trouve que j'ai réussi de faire un look plutôt rock, comme j'aime bien. De plus, l'orange des rayures et du col est la même couleur que mon rouge à lèvres rouge préféré de MAC - je gagne!

Après qu'on a déjeuné à Bumpkin (et puis des gâteaux à Hummingbird Bakery), on est allée à l'exposition des chaussures à V&A. C'était suuuuper et il faut que tu la fasse, surtout si tu es obsédé par la mode mais même si tu l'aime juste un peu!

Harbourside Attire

Vintage midi skirt / Topshop crop top / Converse trainers / Vintage bandana / Vintage belt / Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses

Location: Vaxholm harbour, Sweden

I'm not usually one for a midi skirt but I find this one really flattering, comfortable and super casual for exploring on holiday in Sweden. Of course it's an absolute bonus that it's striped - a print that I have a ongoing love affair with, that I cannot see ending anytime soon. I kept it simple pairing this blue and white pinstripe skirt with black and white accessories annnd this silver belt, just well, because.

Normalement je porte pas des jupes midi mais j'aime bien la forme de celle-ci - elle est confortable et super casuel pour explorer en Suède. Bien sûr que c'est un plus qu'elle est en rayures - un motif que je kiffe vraiment depuis longtemps et je vois pas que cet amour finira bientôt! Avec la jupe, j'ai gardé une tenue simple en mettant des accessoires noirs et blancs etttt cette ceinture argentée, juste, parce que…
