I have been looking for the right hat for a while now. It's difficult because do you go for a wide floppy brim? A straight and structured shape? Or a round one? I know, hat politics. This one is great because the head section is slightly structured and the brim is slightly floppy - best of both worlds. 

I paired my beloved new hat with this gorgeous crochet jumper layered over the perfect button down suede skirt (it's so perfect that it's featured on the blog quite recently, lucky thing). Which type of hat is winning your vote? 


Ça fait longtemps que je cherche le chapeau parfait. C'est difficile parce qu'on choisit un bord flexible et grand? Une forme structurée? Ou un chapeau rond? La politique des chapeaux! Celui-ci est génial parce que la partie de tête est un peu structurée et le bord est un peu souple - le meilleur de tous. 

J'ai porté mon nouveau chapeau adoré avec ce pull en crochet chouette par-dessus cette jupe en daim parfaite (elle est si parfaite qu'elle était déjà sur le blog il y a pas longtemps, la chance). Quel chapeau gagne ta vote dans la politique?

Two wrongs make an outfit

In principle this outfit should not work. I have never thought that halter neck tops are very flattering, especially on me, and 501 Levis jeans (albeit being currently very popular) will never elongate your legs like a good pair of flares or show off your shape as figure-hugging skinnies do. But somehow, throwing together these retro and sometimes forgotten pieces has created one of my favourite looks this season. 

Yellow is not a colour that I normally wear and yet it features twice here. I've found that a darker, more mustardy colour yellow actually doesn't completely clash with my skin whereas pastel yellow is the way forward for nails. I've kind of got a primary colours theme going on here - red lips, yellow crochet, blue jeans and to top it off (or bottom it off in fact), these awesome navy lace boots. It's nice to step out of the black wardrobe from time to time - what colours are you currently loving?


En principe, cet outfit ne devrait pas aller. Je n'ai jamais pensé que le haut dos nu est flattant, surtout sur moi, et un jean Levis 501 (même s'il est trop populaire actuellement) ne prolongera jamais tes jambes comme un pantalon pattes d'eph ou ne montra pas ta belle forme comme des skinnies. Mais, en mettant ensemble ces deux pièces rétro et des fois oubliées, j'ai créé un de mes looks préférés cette saison. 

Normalement, je ne mets pas du jaune mais en fait on voit cette couleur deux fois ici. J'ai trouvé qu'un jaune plus foncé comme du moutard va ok avec ma peau mais par contre un jaune pastel est parfait pour les ongles. J'ai un petit thème des couleurs primaires ici en fait - du rouge à lèvres rouge, du crochet jaune, un jean bleu et pour finir, ces bottes bleues foncées magnifiques en dentelle. C'est bien de sortir du placard des vêtements noirs de temps en temps - tu kiffes quelles couleurs actuellement?

I'm still such a fan of crochet. I bought this cute waistcoat last summer and I think it looks great over this semi-transparent white blouse with amazing lace detail sleeves. This shirt/waistcoat combo would also be perfect with some denim flares but alas, I am yet to find my perfect pair so my trusty Levi denim shorts it had to be.

On to the backpack, my god I fell in love as soon as it came out of the box at work. Multi-coloured striped suede, camel leather and the miniature size - so so perfect.

Je suis toujours fan de crochet. J'ai acheté ce gilet mignon l'été dernier et je pense qu'il va trop bien sur cette chemise blanche semi-transparente avec des détails magnifiques sur les manches. Cet ensemble chemise/gilet irait trop bien avec un jean patte d'eph mais j'ai pas encore trouvé le parfait du coup mon short en jean Levis a gagné ici.

On parle de ce sac à dos, ouah, je suis tombée amoureuse quand on l'ai fait sortir du carton au travail. Des rayures multi-colorées en daim, du cuir de couleur chameau et sa petite taille - trop, trop parfait.
