The Long Summer Dress

Vintage dress / Vintage fedora hat / ASOS leather jacket (old) / Dr Martens shoes

Location: rue Quincampoix, 75004 Paris

This is the first time I have braved wearing a long dress, always debating with myself that they don't suit me or that they're too "grandma". But somehow this season I love the flowing, hippy look of a long dress and they're fun to wear too! I kept this outfit quite simple with a classic leather jacket, everyone's favourite maroon fedora hat and my trusty Docs. Hopefully soon it will be securely sandal season (not this crazy weather that changes every minute) so I can feel as wild and free as one should do in a long floral dress.

C'est la première fois que je mets une robe longue, me disant avant qu'elles ne me vont pas ou elles sont trop "mamie". Mais en fait cette saison, je kiffe la silhouette d'une robe longue hippy et flottante et elles sont fun à porter aussi! J'ai gardé cette tenue simple avec un perfecto classique, le chapeau favori de tout de monde et mes Dr Martens. J'espère que bientôt le temps permettra des sandales (au lieu de ce temps fou qui change toutes les deux minutes) alors que je puisse sentir libre comme il faut en portant une robe longue.

Trop. de. belles. choses. ASOS est tellement fort cette saison, surtout concernant des fringues de style années 70s et hippy. Je veux tout please. Ma pièce préférée est la combi blanche courte avec le crochet dans la tenue deux, je ne pense pas que je ne peux plus la résister. Quelle pièce est votre favorite?

White boho dress

Vintage white dress / Dr Martens boots / Ray Bans sunglasses

Spring has truly sprung, which means I get to finally wear this girly boho dress that I picked up for 1€ a few months ago. It will be perfect for festivals too - white was the go-to colour for all the seventies inspired outfits at Coachella so I can't wait to wear this at Glastonbury. 

How cute is the location I found to shoot this outfit?! It looks like I'm in a flower-filled meadow in the middle of the countryside whereas in fact I'm in the middle of Paris.

Le printemps est bien arrivé alors enfin je peux porter cette robe hippy et féminine que j'ai acheté il y a quelques mois pour qu'un 1€! Elle sera parfaite pour des festivals aussi - la couleur blanche était la plus populaire pour les outfits inspirés des années 70s au festival de Coachella alors j'ai hâte de la porter à Glastonbury.

Comment est-il mignon cet endroit où on a pris des photos de ce outfit?! Il semble que je suis en plein campagne dans un champs rempli de fleurs mais en fait je suis au centre de Paris.

Paisley & Fringing

I'm really drawn to anything paisley patterned at the moment and so this boho Zara dress is a winner. I love the shape and frilly bits and it looks great with my favourite fringed leather jacket.

J'aime bien le motif cachemire en ce moment et alors cette robe hippy de Zara est parfaite. Je kiffe la coupe et les volants et elle va bien avec mon blouson en cuir à franges préféré.

Boho Chic

Vintage leather jacket / Vintage crochet jumper / Vintage Levi shorts / Doc Marten boots

I wish I had been able to shoot these photos in a meadow filled with long grass and wild flowers. Unfortunately, and unsurprisingly, Paris does not have such a hippy field so I went for a street setting. Isn't this leather jacket just too cool?! If I'm honest, I used to be a bit tassle-phobic but because of my friend Jess' hilarious obsession with them, I have grown to love them. Owning a tasselled leather jacket is fully committing to the cause and I love it. 

The jacket goes perfectly with the boho vibe I'm channelling with the rest of the outfit. This crochet jumper is going to be great for summer evenings, thrown over the top of denim shorts like this. I was actually going to chuck out these shorts because they are way too big but I actually really like them as hipster baggy shorts rather than the usual high-waisted look. This is an outfit I can really see myself wearing at Glastonbury and yes I am already planning looks because it is always the highlight of my summer! Right I'm off to daydream about sitting in a muddy field, surrounded by the sound of amazing music and sipping on a cold Brothers cider...

Je souhaite qu’on ait pu prendre ces photos dans une prairie pleine de l’herbe longue et des fleurs sauvages. Malheureusement, et sans surprise, Paris n’a pas un quel champ hippy alors vous avez un cadre de rue. La veste en cuir est juste trop cool, non ?! Pour être complètement honnête, j’étais un peu ‘gland-phobique’ mais grâce à ma copine Jess qui a une obsession hilaire des glands, je suis devenue fan. En possédant une veste en cuir avec des glands, je suis dévouée à la tendance et je le kit !

La veste va parfaitement avec ce look hippy que je porte. Ce pull crochet sera super pour les soirées d’été, avec un short en jean comme j’ai mis. En fait, j’allais jeter ce short parce qu’il est beaucoup trop grand mais je l’aime bien comme cela, un peu baggy et de taille basse, au lieu du look classique de taille haut. C’est un look que je pourrais porter au festival Glastonbury, et oui je pense déjà aux looks que je mettrai car c’est toujours le temps fort de l’été pour moi ! Alors, je vais rêver d’être assise dans un champ boueux, entouré par le son de la musique magnifique et buvant un cidre froid…
