Getting My Sass Back

Hello huns, I hope you are all well and had a great weekend. Mine was spent with my lovely boyfriend exploring new corners of Montréal, trying to not rush around like a mad thing and finally having some time to relax. 

So, I guess you are wondering where I have been? Well, between relocating to Canada; painting, furnishing and moving into a new flat; looking for jobs and starting some work in a vintage shop, it would be mild to say that things have been a bit hectic. I tried to keep up with blogging and YouTube during all of this but having no content prepared in advance and having to do everything at the last minute meant the fun was well and truly sucked out of it and I was left feeling deflated and uninspired. 

I took a little break to be give myself time to rediscover my inspiration, get ahead with shooting outfits and plan some new things for Fashion Et Moi. It will certainly still be hard to keep on top of everything but I feel I have definitely got my sass back and I am ready to create some awesome content for my little corner of the internet.

Of course, this sort of comeback post had to be in form of an outfit post and it is a sassy one at that. We are finally getting some proper autumn weather here in Montréal with blue skies, crisp air and warm sun, which makes transitional dressing an absolute treat. Nothing gets my styling juices going like picking up some new pieces, which is exactly what I did last week when I found these like-new black Levi's jeans, bang-on-trend velvet leopard print top and super sassy red faux fur scarf in the vintage shop where I am working. It is absolute styling perfection when an outfit comes together before your very eyes and they work so well with my trusty leather jacket and these cosy wool-lined Clarks boots. I am absolutely obsessed with this outfit and I am sure that I will rocking it until the snow arrives. 

Coucou mes choux, j'espère que vous allez bien et que vous avez passé un bon week-end. Le mien était génial et je l'ai passé avec mon beau copain en découvrant des nouveaux coins de Montréal, en essayant de ne me presser pas et en prenant du temps pour me détendre. 

Alors, j'imagine que vous vous demandez où j'étais? Entre notre déménagement à Canada et dans un nouvel appartement qu'il fallait peindre et meubler et la recherche d'emploi et le début de travail dans une friperie, la vie a été un peu intense. J'ai fait mon mieux de faire ce blog et ma chaîne YouTube au même temps mais vu que je n'ai rien préparé en avance et je me suis trouvée faire des postes au dernier minute, être bloggeuse n'était plus fun et je me suis sentie plate et en manque d'inspiration.

Du coup, j'ai pris une petite pause pour pouvoir redécouvrir mon inspiration, de shooter des tenues en avance et de penser aux nouvelles choses pour Fashion Et Moi. Ce serait toujours difficile de m'organiser en avance mais je me sens revivifiée et je suis prête de créer de la contenue géniale pour mon petit coin d'Internet.

Bien sûr qu'il fallait un post de tenue pour ce mini come-back et celle-ci est vraiment vive. On a enfin du vrai temps d'automne ici à Montréal avec du ciel bleu, de l'air frais et du soleil chaud donc l'habillage de transition est un plaisir. J'ai retrouvé mon inspiration de style en achetant quelques pièces dans la friperie où je travaille, tels que ce jean noir Levi's presque neuf, ce haut léopard en velours super tendance et cette écharpe en fausse fourrure rouge vive. Comme styliste, c'est magique quand une tenue se produit devant tes yeux et ces pièces marchent super bien avec mon perfecto préféré et ces bottes Clarks qui font chaud grâce à sa doublure en laine. Je suis obsédée par ce look et je le porterai jusqu'au moment quand la première neige tombera.

Block Heel Pumps & Blue Faux Fur

Hello my lovelies! I hope you all had a lovely weekend and that this Monday is not too much of a struggle. I have had the most wonderful 48 hours being back in England where I will be for the next week. I am currently back home in Bristol (before going to London at the weekend) where I shot this outfit with my lovely mamma in the beautiful area of Clifton Village. 

I am so psyched to have finally got hold of these gorgeous block heel ballet pumps by ASOS. I had been looking for a pair of shoes in this style for a few months and when these instantly sold out, I was super sad. But after stalking the stock daily, I eventually managed to get myself perhaps the last size 4s!

So it is pretty damn cold in Bristol but that's ok because I am loving snuggling up in my favourite blue faux fur coat. It's like a giant hug. Underneath I paired an old PRIMARK cream high neck jumper with some old ASOS cropped trousers. Sorry most of these items are 'old' but it is so nice to be able to rummage through my clothes left behind at home. I love this look - which has something a bit sixties/seventies about it - and think it goes perfectly with the beautiful backdrop of Royal York Crescent. 

Coucou mes choux! J'espère que vous avez passé un bon week-end et que ce lundi n'est pas trop dûr. Moi, je suis rentrée en Angleterre samedi et j'ai passé un très beau week-end. Je reste dans ma ville, Bristol pendant cette semaine avant d'aller à Londres le week-end prochain. Hier, j'ai pris ces photos avec ma belle maman dans un très beau quartier de Bristol - Clifton Village.

Je suis trop contente qu'enfin j'ai ces escarpins super mignons d'ASOS. Ça fait longtemps que je cherche une paire de ce genre et quand tout a été vendu de ceux-ci, j'étais vraiment déçue. Cependant, après avoir regardé le stock pendant toute la semaine, enfin j'ai réussi à prendre (je pense) les derniers 37s. 

Il fait super froid à Bristol mais cela ma plaît parce que je peux porter mon manteau en fausse fourrure bleue préféré. En dessous, j'ai mis un vieux pull avec un col haut de PRIMARK avec mon vieux pantacourt noir d'ASOS. Je suis désolée que je vous montre les 'vieilles' pièces mais c'est parce que je suis avec mon anciens vêtements! Je kiffe ce look qui est super sixties/seventies et il va super bien avec le beau fond de Royal York Crescent.

Blue fur, new hair

It feels like ages since I have done an outfit post! I'm so happy to finally share this beautiful faux fur coat with you. I was going to wear it to Paris Fashion Week this weekend but apparently temperatures are going up, up, up hoorah! I love the pastel blue colour, texture of the fur and the oversized shape. It is such a unique coat that does all the talking for any outfit really so, I kept it simple with my ripped jeans and crochet jumper. Also what do you think of my new short hair? It's quite a change but I really like it!

I can't wait for this week of work to be over and get stuck into Paris Fashion Week! Over the weekend I'll be dashing between various catwalk venues, trade shows and showrooms to take street style photos and view collections. Il me semble que ça fait longtemps que je n'ai pas fait d'un outfit! Je suis trop contente de vous montrer, enfin, cette belle fausse fourrure. J'allais la porter pour Fashion Week de Paris ce weekend mais apparemment les températures vont augmenter - OUAIS! Je kiffe sa couleur bleue pastel, la texture de sa fourrure et sa forme oversized. Il est un manteau tellement unique que ce n'est pas la peine de mettre un outfit flashy en-dessous du coup j'ai mis mon jean troué et un pull crochet tout simplement. De plus, vous pensez quoi de ma nouvelle coupe? Elle est courte mais je pense que j'aime bien!

J'ai hâte de finir cette semaine de travail pour que je puisse aller à Fashion Week de Paris! Ce weekend, j'irai entre plein de lieux de défilés, des salons et des showrooms pour prendre des photos de street style et regarder les collections. Encore un fois, je suis contente de vous dire que je collabore avec un de mes marques préférées, Motel Rocks, et je ferai les reportages de PFW pour eux. Leopard and Monochrome

Faux fur is massive this season, the crazier the better, so I thought with the January chill it was time to bring out my gorgeous Motel leopard print fur. With such a statement print, you can dress it one of two ways and here I've gone for the monochrome/basics look, with my (now) trusty Monki jeans and super soft Primark cream jumper in my favourite high neck cut. The other look you can go for is just to throw loads of clashing prints together. This is more out of my comfort zone but I am going to give it a try for you guys soon!

La fausse fourrure est une tendance énorme cette saison, et elle est mieux plus colorée et plus folle. Du coup, ce janvier j'ai retrouvé mon beau manteau en fausse fourrure leopard. Avec ce motif audacieux, il y a deux choix de tenues et aujourd'hui, j'ai choisi le look monochrome/basic, avec mon jean noir et un pull crème et super doux qui a un col haut - mon favori! L'autre look est de mettre plein de motifs différents ensemble. C'est plus hors ma zone de confort mais je vais l'essayer pour vous bientôt!

Sparkles and Faux Fur

Let's kick off this new year of blogging with a classic but loveable outfit post. I feel like I have been waiting until the new year for it to be acceptable to spend money on myself, so I felt really spoilt on New Year's Eve in this outfit. 

I was absolutely chuffed to find (by chance, may I add) these matching burgundy faux fur clutch and stole. Normally, I am not a clutch girl, mainly being scared of just leaving my bag somewhere if it's not attached to my body (and perhaps because I'm paranoid of the 'grab-out-of-my-arms-and-run' kind of pickpocket in Paris); but I just could not resist. The stole is super soft, unlike a lot of vintage faux fur and it looks great against this sparkly victorian tapestry style jacket (I know what I mean…). 

So I have lots of new ideas for my blog this year, including more reviews of exhibitions/bars/restaurants in Paris, and of course blogging more regularly. If you guys have any ideas for posts or anything you would like me to start writing about please let me know in a comment below!

On commence cette nouvelle année de blogging par une tenue! Je me sens que j'attendais le nouvel an pour dépenser de l'argent sur moi-même, alors je me suis senti gâtée par ce que j'ai porté pour le Réveillon. 

C'était incroyable de trouver (par hasard) ces pochette et col en fausse fourrure bordeaux! D'habitude, je n'utilise pas de pochettes pour peur de les perdre mais je ne pouvais pas résister! Le col est super doux qui est inhabituel pour la fausse fourrure vintage, et il va trop bien avec la veste en paillettes. 

Alors, j'ai plein de nouvelles idées pour mon blog cette année, y compris plus de revues d'exposé/bars/restaurants dans Paris, et bien-sûr plus de postes réguliers. Si vous avez d'autres idées de postes ou un sujet particulier que vous voulez que j'en écris, dites-moi en mettant un commentaire!
