Vintage rain coat / ASOS ripped jeans / Vintage striped top / Dr Martens shoes / eBay rings

It has finally happened. I have found the perfect yellow rain coat for a wee price in my vintage shop and I am over the moon. I took it out for a spin on Sunday whilst wandering round a rather wet Paris before heading to the Centre Pompidou for a modern art fix. I love that the coat is reversible so that on dry days the blue canvas side creates a completely different look. 

Today, I went for the full on sailor look and rocked this great striped top (yes another turtleneck, I have a problem), a recent thrift find for just 1€. I am quite late to the ripped jeans party but I finally bought a pair from ASOS with a birthday voucher and I love them! They make an outfit that bit more interesting and grungy.

Enfin, j'ai trouvé la veste de pluie jaune parfaite dans ma friperie pour une bonne affaire et je suis trop contente. Je l'ai mise dimanche pendant que je me suis baladée dans la pluie dans Paris avant d'aller au Centre Pompidou pour regarder de l'art moderne. Je kiffe que ce manteau est réversible pour que la côté bleue en toile crée un look complètement différent les jours qu'il ne pleut pas. 

Aujourd'hui, j'ai fait un look de marin complet avec ce haut rayé magnifique (oui un autre col haut - je suis malade!), une affaire récente à 1€! Je suis un peu en retard à la tendance de jean troué mais je l'ai acheté enfin chez ASOS avec un bon cadeau et je l'aime trop! Il ajoute beaucoup à un outfit normal et le fait plus grunge.

Leopard and Monochrome

Motel Leopard faux fur coat (old - similar here) / Primark polo neck jumper / Monki jeans / ASOS leather gloves / Doc Martens boots

Faux fur is massive this season, the crazier the better, so I thought with the January chill it was time to bring out my gorgeous Motel leopard print fur. With such a statement print, you can dress it one of two ways and here I've gone for the monochrome/basics look, with my (now) trusty Monki jeans and super soft Primark cream jumper in my favourite high neck cut. The other look you can go for is just to throw loads of clashing prints together. This is more out of my comfort zone but I am going to give it a try for you guys soon!

La fausse fourrure est une tendance énorme cette saison, et elle est mieux plus colorée et plus folle. Du coup, ce janvier j'ai retrouvé mon beau manteau en fausse fourrure leopard. Avec ce motif audacieux, il y a deux choix de tenues et aujourd'hui, j'ai choisi le look monochrome/basic, avec mon jean noir et un pull crème et super doux qui a un col haut - mon favori! L'autre look est de mettre plein de motifs différents ensemble. C'est plus hors ma zone de confort mais je vais l'essayer pour vous bientôt!

Jumpsuit Joy

Hello! Sorry I haven't blogged for so long - hope you haven't forgotten me! Things have been quite mad, stressful and time consuming at work. As I've mentioned before, I am in charge of the content of the Kilo Shop Facebook but it was taking up a lot of my spare time (and I wasn't being paid any extra). Now things seem to be moving in the right direction with more responsibilities and more time at work to do the work so fingers crossed!

My friend took this photo of me whilst we were doing a little shoot at work. I simply cannot get enough of this jumpsuit - it's so comfortable to work in during the day but it's also great to dress up for a dinner or night out. And yes I've taken the plunge and splashed out on some real Doc Martens shoes (before I was wearing cheap Asos look-a-likes who have now broken). I love Doc Martens shoes.

Bargain Hunting

I have had quite a successful haul this week! First of all these fab shoes arrived from Asos. I am currently obsessed with Doc Martens and have decided to invest in a pair of the boots this winter but cannot justify buying the shoes too - too much money! So, I have settled with these great look-a-like ones from Asos, which were in the sale for just £22.50 - perfect for a bargain hunter like me! I picked up this bomber jacket from a local vintage shop. I love its retro print and oversized-ness! and it is perfect for autumn. 

I also went to a flea market at the weekend, which is one of my favourite things to do. I love having a rummage, searching for bargains and imagining what furniture and trinkets I would pick out if I had my own house to decorate. I found some cute gloves with fur cuffs for just £4, as well as this great gold necklace, which was less of a bargain at £16 but I just could not resist!
