I have been looking for a nice printed blouse for a while and although I see others looking awesome wearing blouses, it can be hard to find exactly the right print. Even though this top is technically classed as a "tee", I see it more as a blouse without buttons thanks to its material, ruffle detailing and, of course, that gorgeous print.

As soon as I saw it, I had to have it and perhaps that is just how it should be when buying printed blouses. I instantly found the print super interesting - bold sixties florals with stripes, which combines two of my favourite prints.

Today I have styled it in keeping with its retro print and ruffles, with my favourite suede A-line skirt and some ankle boots. I really like this silhouette; how the boxy blouse is loose on top but pulled in tight at the waist by the skirt that is perfectly shaped to flatter my figure.

FYI, thanks to the blouse's modern t-shirt shape, it also looks great with jeans, be they boyfriend or skinny as I tested out in my latest haul and try on video which is linked below.

I hope you have had a happy Monday!

Location: Passeig d'Isabel II, Barcelona

I bought this super cute heart print mini skirt back in February and it has just been sitting patiently in my wardrobe ever since for temperatures to rise, the poor thing. Well spring (or even summer) has truly sprung here in Barcelona and in my eyes, getting your pins out is definitely acceptable.

Due to the skirt's A-line shape and fun motif, I knew instantly that I wanted to create a sixties look. Naturally, I paired the skirt with a white polo neck t-shirt top and finished it off with my slouchy baker boy hat and trusty ankle boots.

I absolutely love this skirt and I think it is going to be super wearable going through spring and into summer. It is easy and comfortable to wear during the day in the city but thanks to its wrap around style, it will be great to throw on to go to the beach - like a sassy sarong if you will.

How would you style this adorable heart print skirt?

Yellow Skirt And Baker Boy Cap

You know that you are longing for springtime when you walk into Zara and instantly gravitate towards a yellow faux leather skirt. I do not own a lot of yellow and while my suede skirt collection is extensive, I do not actually have a leather one. While you could certainly style this skirt with a flamboyantly patterned seventies blouse or an equally brightly coloured polo neck, I decided to keep things minimal with a simple white tee. In respect for the skirt's retro A-line shape and mini length, I added a slouchy baker boy cap and a skinny scarf to finish off the look with sixties/seventies accessories.

What colours are you adding to your wardrobe this season?

Summer knits

How to style ss15 sixties and seventies trends
Vintage summer jumper stripy bright coloured
Vintage suede skirt and jumper from Kilo Shop / Dr Martens shoes

Once again I'm mixing sixties and seventies in one of my current favourite outfits. I finally found THE suede skirt for just 5 euros. That's the thing with thrifting, it takes time and you have to be patient but boy does it pay off.

I'm loving the knitwear trend for SS15. Of course it needs to be light with short sleeves and bright colours, which makes it great for transitional dressing or just 'waiting for the sun to return' outfits. I'm especially drawn to multi-coloured stripy summer jumpers, which are perfect for adding a retro feel to any look and this one is just adorable.

---

Sixties meets seventies layering

Sixties style meets seventies style

Mixing denim, suede and paisley

Vintage denim dress / Zara paisley shirt (old) / Vintage suede bomber / Dune Chelsea boots (old)
Location: rue de l'Arsenal, 75004 Paris

After having been teased by summer and the last couple of weeks of glorious weather, the temperatures have dropped and the rain is back, which means one thing fashion wise: layers. I've paired this A-line denim dress over a paisley print high neck shirt for a sixties meets seventies look.

I have been lacking inspiration recently for photo locations so I really liked the idea of clambering over this transport machine thing to take some snaps. Who thought you could tire of Parisian streets? Not really but I have been looking for something a bit different of late.

---

Mixing decades

Vintage printed jacket / Vintage suede shirt / Topshop crop / ASOS ripped jeans / Dr Martens
Location: Canal Saint Martin, 75010 Paris

I'm really mixing lots of styles and decades here but I love it. This is the way to incorporate some of this season's current trends, such as the banging seventies, without looking like you're off to a Bee Gees tribute gig (although that would be pretty cool...). I've layered this amazing sixties/seventies printed jacket over a super soft vintage seventies suede shirt and a nineties simple white crop. As that is already quite a lot for the eye to handle, I finished off the outfit with my beloved ripped black jeans and my even more beloved Dr Martens shoes to add some nineties grunge. Yes I need new shoes.

---

Sixties Inspiration

One of the things that I love about fashion is how previous trends always come around again with a slight update and my favourite revived trend this season has to be the Swinging Sixties. I have always loved the bright mini skirts, bold eye make up and beehive hair of the sixties so here are some inspiration images to get us even more in the mood for this trend. This season think bright pastel colours, bold faux furs and mini mini skirts, whether they be A-line or skater. I'm planning a sixties style outfit post soon featuring a gorgeous yellow mini dress so stay tuned for that. Peace.

P.S. I love Twiggy.
